Our children’s ministry serves children as they learn and grow in what it means to follow God. Our volunteers offer a safe environment for kids to develop in relationship with God and one another. As a church, OBC welcomes your family as a part of our church family.
Sunday School
9:45 on Sunday Mornings – Each child will be given the opportunity to learn about God, the Bible, the people of God, and sharing the “Good News” with the world. There are Sunday School classes for every age group from infancy to grade 5. Greeters at the doors will be able to direct your child to the appropriate class.
Nursery
During our 11:00 worship service there is a nursery provided for infants – three years of age.
Children’s Sermons
Each Sunday, one of our gifted children’s teachers/volunteers gives a children’s sermon with all the children in the sanctuary during the service.
Children’s Church
During worship every Sunday there is a children’s sermon in the Sanctuary. Following the children’s sermon, the children go downstairs to have a time of singing, bible stories, and a snack. Children’s church is every Sunday except communion Sundays, which are the first Sunday of every month.
***Due to COVID, we are currently not offering Children’s Church. Please bring your children with you to worship!

Upward Basketball
Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports league for children, provides a fun kids sports experience based on healthy competition.
Upward Basketball ….Every Child Is A Winner! When your child plays Upward Basketball, he/she will be able to:
- Practice and play a game every week
- Get equal playing time
- Learn techniques to improve his/her basketball skills
- Receive special recognition awards after every game
- Develop new friendships
