What is MOPS/MOMSnext of Orange?

MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers)/MOMSnext (for mothers of school-aged kids) is a smart, relevant, and caring network helping women be better mothers through trusted resources and supportive relationships.  MOPS/MOMSnext of Orange is a dynamic, inviting environment where women can come just as they are to build friendships, be encouraged, and gain practical parenting strategies.

No matter what your ethnicity, background, or beliefs, we invite every mother of pre-schoolers and school-aged kids to join our group.  MOPS/MOMSnext exists for every mom–stay-at-home moms, working moms, single moms, teenage moms, and married moms.

What Happens at MOPS/MOMSnext?

We’ll have a fresh pot of coffee and appetizers or dessert for you when you arrive because we know that sometimes a busy mom doesn’t get to sit and eat at home!  At MOPS/MOMSnext, you may hear a dynamic speaker or watch a video that will encourage you with an inspirational or educational talk on relevant issues in your life as a mom.  Other times, we may spend our meeting decompressing from the day and getting to know each other better.  MOPS/MOMSnext participates in several community outreach projects, so we may find ways to give back at our meetings as well.

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is to attend a meeting!   Registration can be completed right at your first meeting or you are welcome to visit before committing to register.  From there, we will sign you up for our monthly newsletters, fill you in on MOPS/MOMSnext playdates, and other activities.  We would love for you to join us at MOPS/MOMSnext!  We do ask that your children be cared for at home, but if you don’t have a childcare provider, email us at mopsoforangeva@gmail.com and we will try to have a volunteer available to care for your child(ren) during the meeting.

MOPS/MOMSnext

MOPS/MOMS next meets the 3rd Monday of the month from 7-9 p.m. at Orange Baptist Church, 123 West Main Street, Orange, VA  22960.
